NAYPYITAW (Myanmar), Jan 13 (Bernama) -- The preparation for the seventh Asean Paralympic Games starting Tueday is a pale shadow of the recently concluded 27th SEA Games.
Unlike the SEA Games, there are not many signboards or banners put up to welcome contingents to the weeklong paralympic Games.
An array of SEA Games signboards, banners and buntings are still clearly visible.
Meanwhile, Bernama made a futile attempt to meet athletes at the Games Village as the media centre there will only be opened Tuesday.
The paralympic athletes will vie for honours in 12 sports, namely athletics, swimming, archery, powerlifting, boccia ( precision ball sport), goalball, chess, table tennis, wheelchair basketball, five aside football (visually impaired), seven aside football (cerebral palsy) and sitting volleyball.....
