BALING, Jan 12 (Bernama) -- The Kedah Football Association (KFA) urged the football fans and supporters in the state to give the association a chance to prove that the transformation process undertaken by the KFA can help revive the standard of football in the state.
Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Mukhriz Tun Dr Mahathir who is also the KFA president said the transformation process was not just about a change in the logo which has received strong objection from the fans but a holistic approach to revive football in the state.
Mukhriz said the transformation also involved the management, training and selection of players that is targetted to bring back the glory days of football enjoyed by the state when it won the treble for two consecutive years in 2007 and 2008.
"Though I know that some are not happy with the new logo, there are also many out there who are eagerly waiting for the change in logo...because to them the time has come to portray a bold image. Others have chosen the lion, warrior and other heroic characters in their logo.
"We too want to showcase a more valiant image and that was why the eagle was chosen for the logo," he told reporters here Sunday.....
