KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 10 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian National Cycling Federation (MNCF) is prepared to cooperate with the youth and sports ministry and the National Sports Council (NSC) to revive the golden era of the national highway cycling squad.
MNCF president Datuk Abu Samah Abd Wahab said for a start, the federation would furnish a report and like to meet the minister to explain the problems and proposals for implementation by the federation for a major championship such as the Singapore SEA Games in 2015.
"MNCF takes a positive stand and is open-minded to any criticism. All comments are aimed at helping us. We want our highway riders to bag at least one gold in the 2015 SEA Games.
"At the moment, we have prepared a complete report on our performance at the 2013 SEA Games. We want to meet the minister to clarify what happened, as well as our proposals," he told reporters here Friday.
Thursday, Khairy was reported as wanting MNCF to cooperate with the ministry and NSC, in redeveloping highway cycling for gold at the SEA Games in Singapore.....
