KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 3 (Bernama) - The National Sports Council (NSC) will conduct a post-mortem on the Myanmar SEA Games in two weeks.
Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin wants the NSC to propose solutions to resolve the poor showing by athletes in several sports.
"We will identify problems, especially for sports which used to deliver gold medals," he said after launching 'Riuh di Brazil' campaign at Sri Pentas, Bandar Utama here today.
Khairy said sports such as athletics, swimming and cycling which used to be the gold mine for the country had showed significant drop in performance.
The Malaysian contingent of 556 athletes returned with 43 gold, 38 silver and 77 bronze medals to finish fifth at Myanmar SEA Games.....
