KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 3 (Bernama) -- Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) players have been reminded to avoid negative elements such as bribery and match fixing to preserve the good name and image of the team.
Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein said the ATM should display high moral as they are the model for other teams and pillar of the nation.
"Negative elements should be avoided as they will destroy the team, future of the players and affect the good name of ATM," he said at the launch of the ATM football team for the 2014 season at a hotel, here today.
Hishammuddin said the team should focus on winning, promote unity and spread good values within the community, especially the younger generation.
"This is especially true in today's environment where 'the culture of hate " and 'blaming each other' is rampant in our country," he added.....
