NAYPYITAW, Dec 19 (Bernama) -- Mohd Lokman Akimi Mat Roji is close to contributing at least a silver medal for Malaysia at the SEA Games here after getting into the final round of the 51kg Muay Thai event.

In a semi-final match at the Wunna Theikdi Indoor Stadium Wednesday, the 24-year-old policeman defeated Somsay Sopaseuth from Loas with a score of 3-0.

In the final, he is scheduled to meet Vietnamese Nguyen Ngo Trieu Nhat who surprisingly beat Thailand's Suriya Lamontree in the other semi-final match.

Mohd Lokman who lost four kilogrammes in the last two months to enter the 51kg event, is satisfied to be able to go into the final.
