MARA: 3,714 MRSM Students Score All As In PMR

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 21 (Bernama) -- A total of 3,714 students, or 61.71 per cent of 6,018 MARA Junior Science College (MRSM) students scored grade A in all subjects in the Penilaian Menengah Rendah (PMR) examination this year.

Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) director-general Datuk Ibrahim Ahmad said this was better than last year's achievement of 56.39 per cent.

"MRSM's achievement in the critical subjects science, mathematics and English also improved. Science improved by 92.64 per cent, a 2.63 per cent increase compared to last year.

"Mathematics went up 97.42 per cent which is a 1.22 difference compared to 2012, and there is a 1.22 per cent increase for English to 97.42 per cent," he said in a statement here Saturday.

Ibrahim added that MRSM s fared better compared to last year, with an increase of 0.0184 from a College Grade Average of 1.1094 to 1.0910.
