Fadhlina Allocates RM60,000 To 12 PIBG Schools In Nibong Tebal For SPM Candidate Preparation

NIBONG TEBAL, Oct 3 (Bernama) -- A total of RM60,000 has been allocated to 12 Parent-Teacher Associations (PIBG) of secondary schools in the Nibong Tebal parliamentary constituency to implement preparation programmess for the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM).examination.

Education Minister Datuk Seri Fadhlina Sidek, who is also the member of parliament for Nibong Tebal, said that each Parent-Teacher Association (PIBG) will receive RM5,000 to help improve the preparation of SPM candidates in their respective schools.

"This morning, I started my day in Nibong Tebal with the principals of secondary schools and the chairpersons of the Parent-Teacher Associations (PTA) from 12 schools in the Nibong Tebal parliamentary constituency. I announced RM5,000 to each school's PTA to implement programmes with SPM students, totalling RM60,000.

"Use it wisely for our children; the exams are getting closer and we help as much as we can so that they will enter the exam hall later better prepared," she said in a Facebook post today.

She said the meeting also aimed to obtain direct feedback from the schools regarding the problems faced and on the additional needs to help the students.

"I intentionally want to meet face-to-face with schools that have SPM candidates, and one by one I will ask them to share what problems they face and what else we can do to help the children," she said.

Fadhlina said there are matters that can be addressed through the Nibong Tebal Member of Parliament Service Centre and some that need to be brought to the Ministry of Education level, but the important thing is that no issues or problems are being hidden or 'swept under the rug'.

She also expressed appreciation to all principals and PIBG chairpersons who shared openly, and all feedback received will be acted upon as necessary.
