KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 28 -- Perusahaan Otomobil Kedua Sendirian Bhd (Perodua) has won the Gold award in the automotive category at the 2019 Putra Brand Awards last night for the third consecutive year.
Perodua president and chief executive officer Datuk Zainal Abidin Ahmad said Perodua had strived to be much more than just a car company, and had organised various programmes ranging from safety, health and environment to sports and charity programmes.
“We want to be a brand that makes a real difference to Malaysian lives,” he said in a statement today.
The Putra Brand Awards recognises Malaysia’s most preferred brands based on public interviews, involving over 8,000 unique respondents this year.
Organised by the Association of Accredited Advertising Agents Malaysia, it is the only brand awards in the country endorsed by the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation.
The event was supported by the Malaysia Digital Association, the Malaysian Advertisers Association and the Media Specialists Association.
