SHAH ALAM, Aug 25 (Bernama) -- Super League side, Petaling Jaya City FC (PJ City FC) have brightened their hopes to the quarter-finals of Malaysia Cup after defeating UiTM FC 2-0 in a Group B match UiTM Stadium, Shah Alam, here tonight.
The result saw PJ City FC collecting nine points to take the second place in Group B table while UiTM FC stayed at the bottom of the table after failing to win any points from four outings.
In the Shah Alam match, PJ City FC opened the score in 32nd minute via Brazilian import, Washington Brandao.
About 10 minutes later, the visitors could have added another goal but the penalty taken by team captain,Elizeu Araujo De Melo Batista was saved by UiTM FC goalkeeper, Muhammad Azfar Arif Mohd Sukri.
Nonetheless, K. Satish sealed PJ City FC's victory in the 71st minute by beating Muhammad Azfar this time to allow PJ City FC to collect three points.
