MELAKA, Aug 6 (Bernama) -- The National Science Week (MSN) 2019 Carnival will be held for three days at the Melaka International Trade Centre (MITC), Ayer Keroh from Aug 15, said the National Space Agency (Angkasa) in a statement today.
The four-day MSN 2019 phase two programme, is currently underway at selected schools and higher education institutions (HEIs) around the state.
“The launch of the MSN 2019 programme took place yesterday at two selected HEIs, the Islamic University College of Melaka (KUIM) and the Technical University of Malaysia, Melaka (UTeM).
“At the school level, the programme will commence for three days beginning today comprising four primary and secondary schools respectively in the Melaka Tengah district, Alor Gajah and Jasin,” said the agency under the Energy, Science, Technology, Environment & Climate Change Ministry, here.
MSN 2019 aims to raise public awareness on the importance of Science, Technology and Innovation in everyday life as well as honour and recognise the contributions and achievements in the field of Science.
In addition, the ministry’s collaboration programme with Angkasa and the Malaysian Remote Sensing Agency aims to attract and increase the number of students who are majoring in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) in line with the STEM agenda.
