KUALA LUMPUR, July 12 (Bernama) -- Export-Import Bank of Malaysia Berhad (EXIM Bank) received Company of The Year Award Overall Sustainability Excellence at CSR Malaysia Awards 2019 on Thursday.
Launched by Deputy Minister of Women, Family and Community Development, Hannah Yeoh, the annual CSR Malaysia Awards was organised by CSR Malaysia to celebrate the outstanding corporations that give astounding commitment in their Corporate Social Responsibility initiative.
EXIM Bank has spent around RM601,973 for all of their CSR initiatives in 2018 among which were, World Autism Awareness Day, adoption of handicapped elephant named Elly at National Elephant Conservation Centre (NECC) in Kuala Gandah and the distribution of educational books to local universities in Malaysia, the company said in an email today.
As one of their ongoing environmental initiatives, EXIM Bank will contribute in the donation of prosthetic leg for Elly which needs to be changed every six months as well as supply of milk and multi-vitamins for her growth.
It added that the company will continue its CSR initiatives in the following years in order to create a long lasting positive impact to the society and environment in line with its goal; to serve everyone with honesty, transparency, respect and integrity.
