Four killed in two separate firing incidents in Pakistan´s Karachi

ISLAMABAD, July 10 (Bernama) -- Two firing incidents that took place on Tuesday evening in Pakistan’s southern port city of Karachi left four people killed, including a famous TV anchor, Xinhua news agency reported, quoting local media.

According to media, unknown gunmen riding on a motorcycle sprayed bullets at the vehicle of TV anchor Murid Abbass in the Defence Housing Authority of Karachi.

Abbass and his friend, who was also present in the car, were injured severely and were shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where they succumbed to their injuries during the treatment, the reports said.

In another incident, unknown gunmen in a car opened fire at a restaurant, killing two persons and injuring another.

Police have registered two separate cases and launched investigations.

No group or individual claimed for any of the attacks yet.
