KOTA KINABALU, Feb 16 (Bernama) -- The strategic partnerships between the Malaysia Automotive Robotic and IoT Institute (MARii) Satellite Sabah and companies, organisations and academic institutions are set to create more job and business opportunities in the automotive, robotics and Internet-of-Things (IoT) sectors in Sabah.
International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Darell Leiking said MARii Satellite Sabah was the first MARii centre outside of the Klang Valley focusing on the development of the sectors.
He added that the institute had entered into strategic partnerships with companies and associations in Kota Kinabalu to deliver high-impact projects in product design, robotics and IoT.
“MARii Satellite Sabah is specially established to bring the technology directly to Sabahans and will become the gateway for the people in the state to gain access to technology, expertise, jobs and business opportunities in various areas.
“As such, I would like to urge Sabahans to grab this opportunity to ensure that they are not left behind in enhancing their capabilities in the face of economic challenges in the future,” he said at the launch of the institute in Penampang near here today.
