KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 15 (Bernama) – The Ministry of Entrepreneur Development (MED) launched the MyPerintis-BizRev programme today aimed at equipping entrepreneurs with the latest knowledge on concepts and technology impacting small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
“The programme will feature special speakers who will help participants better understand demographic changes, economic trends and today’s business landscape,” said MED minister, Datuk Seri Mohd Redzuan Md Yusof, at the launch.
MyPerintis-BizRev – whose tagline is Revolutionising and Reinventing Business Processes for Tomorrow’s Challenges – is a collaborative effort between SME Corp, MyPerintis and strategic partners like the Inland Revenue Board, MySchool of Life, Unifi and Focus Malaysia.
The programme is being held in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Johor, Kedah, Melaka, Perak, Pulau Pinang, Sabah and Sarawak till June next year.
Mohd Redzuan also inaugurated the One-Stop Entrepreneur Development Centre (PSK) at SME Corp in Platinum Sentral which will assist entrepreneurs through the resources of SME Bank, the National Entrepreneurial Group Economic Fund (TEKUN Nasional), Bank Rakyat, Institut Keusahawanan Negara (INSKEN), UDA Holdings, the Malaysia Co-operative Societies Commission (SKM) and more.
Mini PSK have been started in Melaka, Alor Setar, Kota Bharu, Kota Kinabalu and Kuching.
During a press conference following the launch, Mohd Redzuan also mentioned that the development of SMEs will be addressed in Budget 2019 as they contribute to economic growth.
He said his ministry is committed to empowering and improving entrepreneurship to enhance the capabilities of SMEs, adding that “allocations will be used wisely”.
