SUNGAI PETANI, May 16 (Bernama) -- A Myanmar man died at the Sultan Abdul Halim Hospital early today, about 24 hours after he was stabbed during a brawl with a compatriot here.
Kuala Muda District police chief ACP Saifi Abdul Hamid said the 37-year-old man succumbed to stab wounds in the abdomen at 5.50 am.
"The police have detained a 33-year-old local man and a Myanmar national, who is in his 30s, to facilitate investigations into the murder.
"The victim just started working at a plastic factory in Tikam Batu near here," he said in a statement tonight.
Meanwhile, a man was seriously injured after he was attacked and robbed of a mobile phone worth RM300 by four men armed with a machete in front of a shopping mall here last night.....
