KUALA LUMPUR, May 16 (Bernama)
Video streaming service provider tonton in collaboration with popular Youtuber, The Ming Thing (TMT), is creating a new original series "I, Remember", premiering exclusively on tonton this Sunday, May 20.
Despite being their first project with tonton, The Ming brothers Ho Ming Han and Ho ming Yue have lined up a star-studded award winning cast starring in the series, said Tonton in a statement.
Ming Yue said, "It was something that I wrote a couple of years ago and then I wasn´t sure what I wanted do with it...whether to make it as a short video for five minutes or full length.
"Then, Tonton came at the right time and we dicided to create something together. We saw it as a great opportunity to develop something that we have," he added in the statement.
Award winning actor Alvin Wong graces the series alongside popular casts such as Emily Chan, Louisa Chong, and Ho Ming Yue himself.
FRESH NEW FACES
"I, Remember" also introduces fresh new faces such as Jad Hidhir and Karan Hundal with a special appearance of award winning actress, Sharifah Amani, playing the role as Hafiq´s mother in the series.
Director of tonton, Licensing and Merchandising Television Networks Media Prima Berhad, Airin Zainul said, "We are so thrilled to be able to continue working with Youtubers/ Key opinion Leaders (KOLs) such as The Ming Thing in curating fresh new content that speaks to the youth."
"I, Remember" is a four-episode series with captivating plots on top of an exciting new augmented reality (AR) to add further engagement and interactivity with our subscribers, added Airin.
Meanwhile, tonton together with The Ming Thing organised a series of campus tour across Klang Valley, Taylor´s University Lakeside Campus and INTI International University & Colleges on May 15 and Sunway University tomorrow to promote "I, Remember. "
Fans can get an exclusive sharing session on the topic of social media and digital content by TMT and an exclusive preview of the series during the tours.
"I, Remember" tells the story of Hafiq (played by Jad Hidhir), a socially awkward young man with an unusually perfect memory and recall. However, an unexpected turn of events suddenly took away all of his memories. Find out if Hafiq can survive his emotional and mental ordeal in searching cures and answers for his abrupt loss of memory.
