KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama) -- They may behave crudely or rudely, speak in rough or humble tone, overact or act funnily just be 'instafamous' in social media.

While their two minutes of fame may not be the best of example of good social etiquette but this is how one could easily win the attention of the netizens. And the uncouth online behaviour now has become a good marketing strategy for those doing online business.

Hence, don't be surprised if you see someone who promotes a teeth whitener brushes the teeth, gargles and spits in front of the camera. The person paid to do a food review, eats greedily, with the mouth full and talking at the same time, where most will consider the behaviour as bad table manners.

With so many people and parties trying to seek attention in the cyber realm, the conventional approach that adheres to social ethos is no longer effective. It's best to do something different, odd or against the norms though it may not be to the liking of everyone.



However, there is nothing to stop people from doing things promote their products or services and for the netizens who don't like it they will avoid watching the clips. Yet some of the clips that go too far also incur the wrath of the netizens.....
