KUCHING, March 14 (Bernama) -- Since the inception of iM Sarawak five years ago, it has championed the needs of residents in over 1,500 locations throughout Sarawak, especially those in the outback areas, through community projects held.
1Malaysia Sarawak Advisory Council (1MSAC) member Irwan Zulkarnain Muhammad Hasbi said the projects are conducted in "gotong-royong" manner among residents to strengthen community ties while boosting social community development.
He said among others, this initiative included projects involving hydroelectric facilities, more efficient water supply infrastructure, construction of better roads and bridges, sports progress and education aid.
"Through iM Sarawak, we are committed to improving the people's quality of life," he said during the presentation of the iM Sarawak Special Aid to Tabika Kemas Muda Hashim, Jalan Datuk Ajibah Abol, here today, that was officiated by Sarawak Chief Minister's wife, Datin Patinggi Juma'ani Tun Tuanku Bujang.
iM Sarawak is a social development initiative led by 1MSAC to help improve the quality of life of the various communities throughout the state, in line with the principles of 1Malaysia.....
