MELAKA, March 14 (Bernama) -- The public, especially social media users, have been advised not to speculate on the death of a teenage girl while on holiday here on March 10, as has been viralled.
Melaka police deputy chief Datuk Sun Teoh Tia said the public should instead, leave it to the police to conduct a thorough investigation into the case and not interfere with the probe.
Commenting on the case, he said a police report was lodged on the day of the incident on March 10 at 3.15am at the Pulau Sebang police station here.
"The victim, who hails from Johor came to Melaka with her family for the holidays and was admitted to the Tampin Hospital on March 10 as she was injured.
"The case has been classified as sudden death and we are conducting further investigations from various angles while waiting for the post-mortem report to determine the cause of death," Sun told reporters after officiating the handing-over of uniforms for the Police Cadet Corps here today.....
