SIBU, Jan 1 (Bernama) -- A young man paid the price after acting aggressively against two policemen following an accident in Taman Rejang yesterday.
Sibu District Police chief ACP Zailanni Amit said the 21-year-old man screamed the words 'stupid police' and showed his middle finger to two policemen who responded to an accident call involving a motorcycle and a car at Jalan Empelam at about 9.20 pm.
He said the man, who was the motorcyclist involved in the crash, had initially refused to cooperate when asked to produce his identity card.
"When the police wanted to arrest him, he was aggressive again, Minimum violence was used to apprehend him, but no one was injured," said Zailanni when contacted.
He said the suspect was remanded for investigation for obstructing a public servant from discharging his duties under Section 186 of the Penal Code.
