KUALA LUMPUR, April 17 (Bernama) -- Raja Muda of Perlis Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail has called for a need to establish strategic partnership among different nations and armies in addressing radicalism and terrorism as advocated by the General Assembly and Security Council of the United Nations.

Tuanku Syed Faizuddin, who is also the Commander of Regiment 504 of the Malaysian Territorial Army, said in this context, there was a need for the armies to understand each other better, committed to the same mission, share and also optimise resources in order to achieve success.

"Collaboration, cooperation and partnership between the armies, and between the army and the other agencies require a mechanism for implementation.

"The terrorists' networks are highly mobile, flexible and undeterred by international laws and they have extended global reach networks that undermine intelligence gathering efforts," he said when addressing the Chief Of Army Round Table Talk held in conjunction with the Defence Services Asia (DSA) Exhibition and the National Security (Natsec) Asia 2018 here, today.

Tuanku Syed Faizuddin said the army and the other actors had to be transparent towards each other, and must be willing to share intelligence and information obtained, for information sharing to succeed.....
