Last update: 08/03/2018

KUALA LUMPUR, March 8 (Bernama) -- The sixth day of the murder trial of senior deputy public prosecutor Datuk Anthony Kevin Morais at the High Court here today was postponed when two of the accused were taken ill.

Counsel V. Rajehgopal informed the court that his clients, fifth accused, M. Vishwanath and the seventh accused, S. Ravi Chandaran were believed to be down with food poisoning, with bouts of vomiting and diarrhoea.

"I do not think Vishwanath will be able to testify today because he is vomiting in the court lock-up," he said before applying for the proceedings today to be deferred to another day.

Deputy public prosecutor Saiful Edris Zainuddin did not object to the application.

The court was scheduled to have heard the testimony of Vishwanath, who is the fourth defence witness.....
