LAHAD DATU, Feb 13 (Bernama) --- The Eastern Sabah Security Command (ESSCom) with the cooperation of the Malaysian Administrative Modernisation and Management Planning Unit (MAMPU) have drawn up a new five-year strategic plan for 2018 till 2022.
Its commander DCP Datuk Hazani Ghazali said the plan was important in helping ESSCom to achieve its vision and mission in safeguarding sovereignty and maintaining peace and harmony in the Eastern Sabah Security Zone (ESSZone).
The plan was also aimed at enabling ESSCOM to perform in tandem with the needs and aspirations of the country as outlined in the National Transformation 2050 (TN50), he said in a statement here today.
He said the strategic plan was realised in a two-day workshop to review the old strategic plan, which ended today.
"We redrafted the strategic plan for the way forward in the next five years and as a guideline for ESSCom in its programmes and activities," he said, expressing ESSCom's appreciation to MAMPU for its commitment in guiding the security agency in the endeavour.
