Two Policemen Injured While Helping Out Motorist

PUTRAJAYA, Jan 3 (Bernama) -- Two traffic policemen who were assisting a motorist to move a broken-down vehicle nearby a hotel in Sepang, were injured, when another vehicle hit the first one from behind, in an accident early today.

The two traffic policemen from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) police headquarters who were identified as Lans Corporal Suzaili Mohd Marzuki, 31, and Lans Corporal Abd Mutalib Ismail, 40, suffered injuries to the head in the 6.45am incident.

According to a police spokesman, the stalled car was hit by a van from behind, and the impact caused the car to move forward and hit two traffic policemen.

The spokesman said the van driver had been detained for investigation under Section 42 of the Road Transport Act 1987.

Both policemen were treated at the Putrajaya Hospital and reported to be stable.....
