KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 3 (Bernama) -- The song 'Cinto Den Anak Daro Jempol' (My Love For Jempol Maiden) which will be launched this year by Mr Chubby group in the Kuala Pilah Malay dialect is expected to introduce the dialect of the district of Negeri Sembilan to the outside community.

The leader of the group comprising five men from Negeri Sembilan, Mohd Ismail Shara Jamaludin, 42, said the song was about a love affair in the Malay dialect of Kuala Pilah, a dialect used in Batu Kikir, Serting and part of Padang Lebar located in Jempol district.

"The Kuala Pilah dialect is not the same as the Malay dialect in Rembau, Jelebu and Tampin. Actually, the Kuala Pilah Malay dialect is thicker that other Malay dialects in Negeri Sembilan," he told Bernama after performing in the Nine11 programme on Bernama News Channel, here, today.

He said: "We have the 'Waris' songs that tell about Rembau and Jelebu and this time it will involve Kuala Pilah and Jempol."

Mohd Ismail, who is also the group's lead singer, said the song was also to encourage people to understand the Malay dialect of Kuala Pilah and its nuances.

The former Negeri Sembilan football player in the 1990's also said the genre of the new song was based on modern rock or ska rock, and was created by him.....
