BSN LAUNCHES CSR BRANDING 'BSN CARE'

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 19 -- Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) today launched its corporate social responsibility (CSR) brand called 'BSN CARE' which aimed at strengthening BSN's CSR image and enhancing customer positive perception towards the banking institution's branding.

BSN chief executive Datuk Yunos Abd Ghani said BSN programmes not only assisted Malaysians by providing comprehensive banking access, but also assisted the community by organising community service activities under BSN's CSR initiative.

"The CSR-based programme is necessary because no matter how successful BSN gets, it must be shared with Malaysians who have been loyal to BSN over the years," he said at the launching of BSN CARE at BSN headquarters here.

The BSN CSR brand was launched by BSN board of directors' member Datin Zaimah Zakaria.

Zaimah also presented prize to the winner of 'Name the BSN CSR Branding' competition, Idris Mohamed Daud from BSN Information Technology Department.

Yunos said all CSR activities, which are based on four areas namely education, community, health and safety as well as sports, would be implemented under one brand, BSN CARE.

He said BSN had allocated more than RM1 million for CSR activities this year.

Among the activities were contribution to Tabung PPUMCare, the installation of clean water supply facility for Orang Asli in Gua Musang, Kelantan and contribution of seven dialysis machines to Yayasan Islam Darul Ehsan.

In conjunction with the launch, he said BSN, which has more than nine million customers nationwide contributing RM15 billion in retail deposits (as of Oct 2019), will organise activities with the community next year.

He said the activities would be carried out in collaboration with all its branches nationwide.
