SHAH ALAM, Feb 9 (Bernama) -- Gloway Marketing Sdn Bhd, a distributor of snacks using the popular animation brand, Upin and Ipin, is aiming to double growth through sales of eight types of light snack food products this year.
Managing Director, Evans Khoo, said the target was based on the company's plan to export its ?PINPIN? brand of snack food to three ASEAN countries, namely Indonesia, Thailand (South) and Brunei, this year.
"The products are PINPIN Biscuits, PINPIN Wafer, PINPIN SnekMi and PINPIN Corn Snack. Each comes in two flavours, making a total of eight.
"We will focus on entering the Indonesian market in the first quarter of this year based on the extraordinary reception for the Upin and Ipin animation series there," he told reporters after the launch of the PINPIN SnekMi and PINPIN Corn Snack, officiated by Les' Copaque Production Managing Director, Burhanuddin Md Radzi, here today.
Khoo said the company began planning to penetrate the Indonesian market six months ago, including the process of obtaining halal certification, and also finding a suitable distributor there.....
