KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 7 (Bernama) -- Over 500 financial industry professionals are expected to be accredited by the Finance Accreditation Agency (FAA) in the next 12 months, said Bank Negara Malaysia's (BNM) Assistant Governor, Jessica Chew.
"So far, the FAA has trained and certified over 200 professionals since individual accreditation was added to FAA solutions this year," Chew said at the the agency's fifth anniversary celebration here today.
Chew, who is also the Chairperson of the FAA board of directors, said the agency has recognised over 100 accreditation programmes offered by 50 financial institutions, industry training providers and higher education institutions.
"The FAA also played a role in propagating and promoting international best practices in quality assurance and accreditation through collaborations with national, regional and international bodies," she said, adding that the agency currently provided accreditation solutions in 15 countries, aside from Malaysia.
Meanwhile, FAA Chief Executive Officer, Khairul Nizam Md Som, said the agency has been authorised to carry out quality assurance, as well as assessments and accreditation of finance-related training and academic programmes and professional development certifications.....
