"The companies target to open two to five outlets in Turkey for the first year of operations during the exhibition," he told reporters here Tuesday on the achievements of its trade mission to Istanbul.
Also present were senior officials from participating franchise brands.
He said Turkey was a preferred market given its widespread potential as a gateway for markets across Asia and Europe.
"Malaysian franchise brands also received enquiries from China, India, Tunisia, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Iran and Iraq," said Radzali.
He said the mission was also a success as it received support from the Malaysian Embassy, Malaysia External Trade Development Corp and Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd while in Turkey.
Meanwhile, Radzali said, MFA would participate in the Japan International Franchise Exhibition 2018, to be held from Jan 31 to Feb 2, 2018 in Tokyo.
