KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 4 (Bernama) -- Bestinet Sdn Bhd has called on the government to lift the suspension of the Foreign Workers Centralised Management System (FWCMS), a solution developed by the IT company to control and filter incoming foreign migrants through visa applications, biometric profiling and health screening.
In making the call, Bestinet executive chairman Tan Sri Azmi Khalid said the company had not yet charge employers nor workers for using the system as it is still free during the introductory period.
He rubbished media reports which had linked it to the visa fee hike for Indonesian workers as attested by the Indonesian Manpower Services that the increase had nothing to do with the FWCMS implementation.
FWCMS is an online management system backed by a secure data processing management infrastructure developed for the government.
It is dubbed as a holistic system that is transparent, efficient, convenient and beneficial to stakeholders involved in the hiring of migrant workers, for which it was to be made mandatory on Jan 15.....
