MAICCI Continues To Support BN

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 8 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Associated Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (MAICCI) will continue giving support to Barisan Nasional (BN) in the upcoming 14th General Election (GE14).

MAICCI President Tan Sri Dr. K. Kenneth Eswaran said through "MAICCI Bersama Kaum India" (MAICCI With The Indian Community) programme, to kick-off on March 3, the chamber would create awareness among the Indian community on government's initiatives for the community.

"All MAICCI branches throughout the country will get down to the grassroots level to give exposure to the Indian community on the development carried out by the government for them.

"We will also ensure that Pakatan Harapan will not get any vote from the Indian community as their agenda is individualistic in nature and does not look after universal interests unlike that of the government," he said after launching the programme 'MAICCI With The Indian Community', here today.

He also noted that the Indian community "had been getting a lot under Najib's administration".

"If we look at the first three prime ministers, the Indian community has done well under these leadership but things changed when Tun M (former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad) came in.

"But when Najib took the government, we can see that he is committed to help not just the Indian community but all the communities in the country," he added.
