Malaysia-Belgium Robotics Exchange Programme Unleashes Young Talent

ALOR SETAR, Jan 14 (Bernama) -- The Malaysia-Belgium International Robotics Exchange Programme can serve as a platform to unleash the talents of the young generation in the new technology of robotics.

Programme organiser Luthffi Idzhar Ismail, 31, said it could also provide exposure to participants on robotics as well as help develop their creativity and innovation skills.

"Through this programme, two lecturers from the Faculty of Engineering, Ghent University, Belgium and I will share our knowledge on robotics with students through the interactive workshops that will be conducted.

"Such programmes have been held in several countries before, including India and Argentina. In Malaysia, this is a pilot project and we want to expand this programme throughout Kedah and nationwide," he told Bernama here today.

Eighty students from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Tunku Abd Aziz and 40 students from Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Kangkong, Simpang Empat are involved in a four-day programme where students are taught basic robotics using the 'Dwengo' software from Belgium.....
