1,000 Bumiputera Youths Attending TUBE Mega Programme Nationwide

KOTA BELUD, Oct 7 (Bernama) -- A total of 1,000 youths are attending the Bumiputera Youth Tunas Entrepreneurship (TUBE) Mega programme at 10 National Service Training Centres throughout the country for three weeks since Oct 1.

International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed said the TUBE Mega participants were undergoing three phases of training involving a boot camp and a workshop on business foundation.

Successful participants, whose business have been registered, are eligible to apply for a business startup grant of RM15,000 to help them start a business.

"In addition, after training, the participants will be monitored for a year through a buddy system handled by SME Corporation Malaysia (SME Corp) business counselors," he said when launching the national-level TUBE Mega at the PLKN Sinar Jaya, Kota Belud near here today.

Present were Sabah Assistant Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Datuk Musbah Jamli, who represented Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Abdul Rahman Dahlan and SME Corp Chairman Tan Sri Mohamed Al Amin Abdul Majid.....
