Six On 200km Run In Conjunction With Malaysia Day

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 13 (Bernama) -- Three professional runners and three supporting crew from non-governmental organisation Malaysian Humanitarian Aid and Relief (Mahar) will be embarking on the Patriot 200 Run covering a distance of 200 kilometres over 40 hours in conjunction with Malaysia Day this Saturday.

Mahar project executive, Raja Nurashiken Raja Ahmed told Bernama here today that they, together with 30 other runners will start the run at 5am on Sept 16 from the Slim River toll plaza and were expected to arrive in Dataran Taiping, Perak at 9pm the next day.

Raja Nurashiken said the event was being held to raise funds to be channeled to the Inmaa refugee camp in Lebanon and to cover the operations cost of Mahar's One-Stop Humanitarian Centre in Sri Rampai here.

Contributions can be channeled via Mahar's social media platforms.
