Police Nab Nine, Seize Drugs Worth Over RM5 Million

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 13 (Bernama) -- Two women were among nine detained on suspicion of smuggling and trafficking in drugs worth more than RM5 million in Kedah, Kelantan and the federal capital between Monday and yesterday.

Bukit Aman Narcotics CID director Datuk Seri Mohd Mokhtar Mohd Shariff said various types of drugs namely syabu, ganja, yaba and Eramin 5 pills, as well as cocaine, were seized.

He said in Changlun, Kedah, the police had mounted two raids and detained two men aged 36 and 42.

"Police also seized 88 ganja slabs weighing 87.4kg and worth about RM262,000," he told a media conference here today.

Mohd Mokhtar said in Kelantan, the police mounted three raids in Pasir Mas, Rantau Panjang and Pasir Puteh, and detained five men and two women aged between 23 and 42.....
