JOHOR BAHRU, Sept 9 (Bernama) -- Previously running a business selling clean water to factories, Ramzyiatul Fahmy Ramli is now the proud owner of a laundrette, after taking advantage of the economic spill-over from the implementation of the Pengerang Integrated Petroleum Complex (PIPC).

"I ventured into business in 2007, then, supplying clean water to factories in Pengerang using a rented van, driving all the way from Pasir Gudang.

"Later, after saving enough money as capital, I started my laundrette business in Johor Bahru with two washing machines and two dryers ," the 36-year-old entrepreneur told Bernama recently.

Ramzyiatul, who holds a diploma in electrical engineering and had worked in the oil and gas industry with Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering Sdn Bhd (MMHE) in Pasir Gudang, said he ventured into the laundrette business after getting the tender to provide the service at PIPC in 2015.

Now, the owner of Miefah Enterprise has 10 washing machines and dryers running at the PIPC and provides laundry service to the 2,500 employees there.....
