PETALING JAYA (Bernama) -- He is 81 but is still sprightly and relatively fit and healthy.

Meet yoga master Dr M. Raajamanikam, who still practises 30 minutes of Hatha yoga daily and even teaches it to selected students in Klang, where he resides.

Indeed, this former Tamil school teacher is a living testament to the benefits of yoga. Two months ago, he was conferred the "Mahaguru" title by local non-governmental organisation Hindu Sevai Sangam for the contributions he had made over the past 50 years to the field of yoga in Malaysia.

The Mahaguru title is only conferred on those who are aged above 80 and have made a name for themselves as successful yoga masters.
