5.6-Magnitude Earthquake Hits East Java

JAKARTA, July 14 (Bernama) -- A magnitude-5.6 earthquake jolted Indonesia's East Java province on Monday, Xinhua news agency reports quoting the Meteorology and Geophysics Agency.

The quake hit the province at 12:05 p.m. Jakarta time with its epicentre at 104km southeast Pacitan of East Java and at a depth 10km under the seabed.

Indonesia lies on the quake-hit zone known as 'Pacific Ring of Fire'.
