Dollah Calls Up 23 Players For Training Ahead Of Match Against Tajikistan

KUALA LUMPUR, July 16 (Bernama) -- Newly appointed National team (Harimau Malaya) coach Dollah Salleh has called up 23 players for centralised training in preparation for the away friendly against Tajikistan on Aug 8.

The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) in a statement Wednesday said all the players would report for training at Wisma FAM, Kelana Jaya, a few days before leaving to Tajikistan.

The friendly match against Tajikistan will be Dollah's first assignment since being appointed the Harimau Malaya coach on July 9.

Malaysia are also expected to play another Class A international friendly against Jordan on Oct 11 as part of the team's preparations for the 2014 AFF Suzuki Cup jointly hosted by Singapore and Vietnam in November.

Newly elected FAM President Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah has set the AFF Suzuki Cup final as the target for the Harimau Malaya squad.

Gopinathan, Azamuddin Mohd Akil, Mohd Hafiz Kamal (Pahang); Mohd Farizal Marlias, S. Kunalan, Mohd Bunyamin Umar (Selangor); Khairul Fahmi Che Mat, Mohd Badhri Mohd Radzi, Ahmad Fakri Saarani (Kelantan); Mohd Norfarhan Mohamad, Muhammad Zubir Mohd Azmi (Terengganu); Mohd Muslim Ahmad (Police); S. Chanturu (Sarawak); Baddrol Bakhtiar (Kedah).
