Kimma Sacks Member For Slamming Party In The Media
Its president, Datuk Syed Ibrahim Kader said the decision was taken after the member was found guilty under the amended party constitution.
"He violated the rules and was automatically sacked for indiscipline. However, he may appeal and a decision will be made later," he said after a meeting of the party's Supreme Council, here Tuesday.
The party's Youth, Wanita and Puteri elections will be held in April followed by the general assembly in May.
Syed Ibrahim said Kimma has also decided to set up an operations room during the campaign for the Kajang by-election.
He said the party would explain current issues to the 1,218 Indian Muslim voters in the state constituency.
About 600 of 284,000 Kimma members would be in Kajang to help the Barisan Nasional (BN) campaign to support the BN candidate, Datin Paduka Chew Mei Fun.
The Kajang seat fell vacant after Lee Chin Cheh of PKR quit on Jan 27 to make way for Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
The Election Commission (EC) had set March 11 for nomination of candidates with March 23 for polling.
