MCA To Draw Up Comprehensive Blueprint For Chinese Community
This is in line with the decision made at the party's extraordinary general meeting (EGM) on Sunday for its leaders to accept the government posts offered at all levels, which paves the way for MCA to return to the cabinet.
Its president Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai said the Chinese community now wished to see how the party could transform and assist them and the nation.
"We are committed and more united now to help the Chinese community, following the outcome of the EGM yesterday," he said after attending a Melaka Wanita MCA dinner function, here, today.
Liow said the new MCA leaders were more dynamic and energetic to achieve the party's mission.
On posts in the government, he said MCA's top leaders would be meeting with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and the respective state leaders at a suitable time to discuss the matter.
He said what was important right now was ensuring victory for Barisan Nasional in the Kajang state seat by-election on March 23.
