Input Being Collected For National Harmony Bill - Nancy
"The National Unity Consultative Council is in the process of getting input from stakeholders including non governmental organisations," she said here today, at a breaking of fast with about 40 Umno Overseas Club members comprising students who are studying abroad.
She said the input would be submitted to the Attorney-General's Chambers to be refined.
"The proposals are subjected to consideration and approval by the Cabinet," she said.
Meanwhile, she advised the club members against being influenced by false news spread by parties who wanted to see the country fall into chaos.
"Education plays a crucial role in sowing the seeds of unity amongst the youth. Thus, I plead to the club's leadership to continue its efforts in exposing young and bright students to intellectual venues," she said.
Club president Nik Zakirah Farhanis Zakimi said the club was an effective platform in expounding current issues involving the country to students abroad.
