IKIMfm-Berita Harian Collaboration Brings New Synergy In Islamic Dakwah

KUALA LUMPUR, July 14 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Institute of Islamic Understanding Radio (IKIMfm) today entered into a collaboration with the Religious Affairs Desk, Berita Harian, for analysis articles in the newspaper on the radio station's programmes.

Director of IKIM's Media Centre Dr Nik Roskiman Abdul Samad said the collaboration would allow IKIMfm listeners and readers to follow its programmes as well as refer to its columns in Berita Harian.

"The collaboration between the electronic and print media would bring a new synergy in the efforts to spread Islamic dakwah in the country," he said in a statement.

IKIMfm which was started on July 6, 2001 was estimated to have more than one million listeners including in Sabah, Sarawak, Singapore, South Thailand, Batam as well as online listeners, and was the first Islamic digital radio station in Malaysia.
