Sabah Assembly To Debate Motion On Ambush On Wednesday

KOTA KINABALU, July 14 (Bernama) -- The Sabah Legislative Assembly is to debate on Wednesday a motion on the ambush by armed men which resulted in the death of a policeman and the abduction of another in the state last Saturday.

Speaker Datuk Seri Salleh Tun Said said the motion, tabled by Pantai Manis state assemblyman Datuk Abdul Rahim Ismail, would be debated on the last day of the current assembly sitting.

At 11.10 pm last Saturday, a group of armed men ambushed two marine policemen at a resort in Pulau Mabul, Semporna, killing one of them, Corporal Rajah Jamuan, 32, and abducting the other, Constable Zakia Aleip, 26.
