17 Areas Record Moderate API As At 9AM

KUALA LUMPUR, July 14 (Bernama) -- Seventeen areas recorded moderate Air Pollutant Index (API) as at 9am today compared with 20 areas nationwide Sunday night.

According to the portal of the Department of Environment (DOE), Indera Mahkota, Kuala Selangor and Shah Alam recorded a drop to good API reading this morning.

Areas which recorded moderate API were Alor Setar (58), Bakar Arang (64), Bandaraya Melaka (51), Bukit Rambai (51), Nilai (53), Port Dickson (52), Jalan Tasek (53), Kg Air Kuning (60).

Other areas were SK Jalan Pegoh (52), Seri Manjung (51), Perai (54), Seberang Jaya 2 (56), USM (52), Banting (51), Port Kelang (57), Kemaman (54) and Batu Muda (55).

An API reading of between zero and 50 indicates good air quality; between 51 and 100, moderate; between 101 and 200, unhealthy; between 201 and 300, very unhealthy and over 301, hazardous.
