AAM Staff, Members To Enjoy Discounted Health Screening Packages

SHAH ALAM, July 12 (Bernama) -- Some 300,000 active members of the Automobile Association of Malaysia (AAM) will enjoy special discounts on health screening packages and healthcare products following an agreement with BP Healthcare Group on Saturday.

The Memorandum of Understanding (Mou) signed between AAM and BP Healthcare, the national industry leader in primary and secondary healthcare, will see both parties working together to create awarenesss campaigns on health and well-being to serve the motoring community.

BP Healthcare Group Managing Director Datuk Chevy Beh said the agreement, which also enabled AAM staff to enjoy affordable healthcare packages, was part of the company's strategy to reach out to more people by offering health services and products at attractive rates.

"We are glad that AAM is constantly innovating the way they serve their members especially on the welfare and safety of the motoring community, and we believe we could complement the effort in many ways through our extensive facilities and healthcare services," he told a press conference here today.

Meanwhile, AAM Chairman Tunku Datuk Mudzaffar Tunku Mustapha said the awareness campaign on health was a value addition to AAM members which would provide attractive discounts on healthcare services and this would undoubtedly assist AAM to take care of its members' needs.

He said the association had invested RM1.5 million to upgrade its vehicle fleet to serve its customers more effectively especially during festive season.
