UniMAP Signs MoU With Korean University
UniMAP in a statement today said the MoU would pave the way for a collaboration in the field of academic and research network aimed at gaining international recognition.
"UniMAP had taken various approaches including the signing of MoUs with leading universities in the world," said its vice -Chancellor, Prof Datuk Dr Kamarudin Hussin.
The MoU with the first national Korean university was signed during a five-day visit to South Korea on Tuesday, with Prof Dr Hyung-Jin Jeong representing the university.
Dr Kamarudin said he was optimistic the collaboration would have a positive impact for UniMAP in the academic and research fields.
UniMAP was able to learn a lot from the visit which would be applied especially in implementing centralized laboratory facilities, he said.
"We hope the signing will also pave the way for the two universities to have an exchange of information, expertise and exchange of students and staff," he said.
He also said Andong National University was also keen to share experiences with UniMAP in the implementation of programs by the Faculty of Engineering Technology, with emphasis on practical orientation to meet the demand of industry in South Korea.
