Committee Set Up To Ensure Taman Ilmu Meets Objectives
Kota Putera state assemblyman Mohd Mahdi Musa said the Besut Taman Ilmu Development and Rehabilitation Committee was set up in a District Action meeting to ensure that the Taman Ilmu, which had been abandoned, would be developed for the benefit of the people.
He said the people of Terengganu, especially those in the Besut district were sad that the development of the Taman Ilmu which had been planned as an education centre for the people had been delayed although 70 per cent was almost completed.
"I have met with several important state leaders including the Menteri Besar of Terengganu recently and he gave a positive response, ensuring that the Taman Ilmu would be developed as soon as possible," Mohd Mahdi, who is also the chairman of the State Housing, Youth and Sports Committee, told reporters after officiating the Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA) Cakna Alam Programme at the Tembila campus here Wednesday.
