National Initiative Scours For Nation's Top 25 e-Commerce Success Cases

KUALA LUMPUR, July 16 (Bernama) -- Easy.my, Malaysia's leading e-Commerce platform and a subsidiary of the largest web hosting provider, Exabytes Group of Companies, has announced the application deadline for a national initiative, e-Commerce Reward Programme.

The application deadline is on Aug 31, 2014 and that of submission by Sept 30, 2014, Exobytes said in a statement.

The programme is organised by Digital Malaysia, the National Digital Economy Initiative by Multimedia Development Corp, an outfit under the Communications and Multimedia Ministry.

Easy.my's chief executive officer and founder, Chan Kee Siak, said the programme's objective was to drive the growth of internet businesses in Malaysia.

"Easy.my will provide a series of training to guide the 600 participating SMEs to set up their online presence.

"With Easy.my's All-in-One Hosted E-Commerce Solution which includes the Web Store's shopping cart, Facebook App that links back to the Web Store, Mobile version of the Web Store, and the Domain Name PLUS," he said.

Chan said that SMEs could learn how to drive traffic to their sites and convert the expressed interest from their online customers into real sales revenue and increased sales volumes.

E-Commerce Reward Programme has been running since Jan 1, 2014 to identify and train 600 eligible SMEs with the intention of identifying and rewarding the top 25 SMEs as successful Malaysian e-Commerce case studies.
